As part of it's global expansion strategy and off the back of impressive growth in Australia and the UK, Xref opened it's doors to Canada in May 2016.
Since its inception and after only 7 short months, our team has doubled in size and we have relocated into a larger office in Downtown Toronto.
We’ve been busy especially in the last few months by sponsoring and presenting at various HR events all over Toronto. We’ve had the privilege of sponsoring and speaking at local Toronto events such as DisruptHR, TAP and Next Gen Talent Meetup.
We felt very privileged to be sponsors at the HR Leaders Summit where we had a booth and met amazing HR professionals who were there to discuss pressing HR topics. Adding to our enthusiasm, was both Xref Co-founders Tim Griffiths and Lee-Martin Seymour, as well as Laura Bolton, one of our Customer Success Managers whom had flown over from Australia to be part of the action.
We took part in HR.com Virtual Talent Acquisition webcast by hosting a webinar “Reference Checks, It’s Time HR Got More Serious About Them". HR.com is the largest human resource social network that provides leading edge HR executives with tips, knowledge and best practices that help them develop their career.
Our clients are seeing consistent data that is in line with the global averages - 24 hour turnaround on references with 60% more accurate data and a 98% completion rate. Further, the use of mobile devices to complete references further demonstrates the need for companies to adapt to technological influences on the hiring process.
2016 was a great start to the Xref journey here in Canada, and with several key initiatives coming online to further enhance the suite of solutions that Xref can provide our clients, the Xref team is very excited for what lies ahead!
